The Talk Spot offers in-person and virtual services in Ontario and Alberta.
Initial Phone Consultation: The Talk Spot offers a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your child’s speech and language skills and determine how we can work together. This is the first appointment for new clients.
Virtual Initial Assessment: Before starting therapy, a 1 hour comprehensive evaluation of your child’s communication skills will determine their strengths and needs. The assessment is essential for setting appropriate speech and language goals. A detailed report can be provided for an additional fee.
Speech-Language Therapy: Sessions are play-based, using various materials like toys, games and books that are enjoyable for the child. We strive to follow the child’s lead while adapting each activity to their goals as meaningful engagement is the foundation of The Talk Spot approach. Sessions are 45 or 60 minutes based on the needs of the child and family. The number of sessions will depend on treatment areas identified and the child’s overall progress.

Receipts are provided for tax purposes or submission to insurers for reimbursement.
